Dunlap, Ellis to wed June 17
Tim and Nancy Dunlap of Falkville announce the engagement of their daughter, Alyson Rawls Dunlap, to Randall Scott Ellis, son of Gilmer and Joan Ellis of Hartselle.
The bride-elect is a 2001 graduate of Falkville High School and is a third-year student at Samford University's McWhorter School of Pharmacy. She is the granddaughter of Jim and Aline Dunlap of Decatur and the late Mark and Mary Rawls Hannah.
The groom-elect is a 1997 graduate of Danville High School and a 2003 graduate of Auburn University with a master's of science degree in education. He is the grandson of Grace Compton of Decatur, the late Dewey Compton, and the late Vercy and Mary Sue Ellis. The wedding will be held June 17 at 4 p.m. at East Highland Baptist Church.
Foote, Jackson to wed April 19
Norman and Raymonda Foote of Falkville announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Ann Foote of Madison, to Shane Devon Jackson of Falkville, son of Jack and Avon McMillan of Decatur.
The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of Falkville High School where she was salutatorian, a 2004 graduate of the University of North Alabama with a bachelor's of business administration, and is currently pursuing a master's degree at UNA. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Delta Mu Delta, and a recipient of the Keller Key.
She is the granddaughter of Bill and Katherine Foote and Kay Ray Russell, all of Falkville, and the late Artis Ray.
The groom-elect is a 1993 graduate of Decatur High School, a 1998 graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor's degree, and a 2003 graduate of the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a master's degree. He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma.
He is the grandson of Houston and Sue McMillan of Moulton and the late Wiley and Eula Parker.
The wedding will be held April 29 at 4:30 p.m. at Vinemont Christian Church.
West, Hicks to wed April 22
Mr. and Mrs. Michael Wade West of Tuscaloosa announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristina Marie West of Birmingham, to John Jay Hicks of Birmingham, son of Mr. Bobby Ray Hicks of Tuscaloosa and the late Mrs. Jill Rosenau Hicks.
The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of Central High School and The University of Alabama with a bachelor's degree in advertising. She was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority and was presented at the 2002 Tuscaloosa Holiday Cotillion. She is employed by O2 Ideas as an account coordinator.
She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Wade West of Cottondale, Lois Hutchins and Donald Shinholster of Holt.
The groom-elect is a 1998 graduate of Central High School and The University of Alabama with a bachelor's degree in communication studies. He was a member of Theta Chi Fraternity. He is employed by Compass Bank.
He is the grandson of the late Judge and Mrs. David L. Rosenau Jr. of Athens and the late Mr. and Mrs. Willis C. Hicks of Hartselle.
The wedding will be held April 22 at 5:30 p.m. at The Beach Club in Gulf Shores.
