Funeral for David N. Holmes, 62, of Falkville was Tuesday, March 21, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Gary Miller and Gary Morgan officiating.
Burial was in Falkville City Cemetery.
Mr. Holmes died Sunday, March 19, 2006, at his residence. He was born April 19, 1943, in Morgan County to Dewer Burl Holmes and Travis Savannah Johnson Holmes. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Holmes Franks; two brothers, Gene Holmes and Bobby Holmes; and two grandchildren, Aaron David Holmes and Aasher Christian Holmes.
He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn Johnson Holmes of Falkville; two sons, Tony Holmes and wife Tammie of Falkville and Matt Holmes and wife Cindy of Birmingham; three brothers, Wade Holmes of Charlestown, Ind., Boyd Holmes of Decatur and Jerry Holmes of Falkville; three sisters, Wanda Atkins of Simi Valley, Calif., Edna Martinez of Taylorsville, Ga. and Becky Ragusa of Duluth; and four grandchildren, Savanah Jade Holmes, Cade Davis Holmes, Hannah Beth Holmes and Kelly Grace Holmes.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
