Gertrude T. Segars

Funeral for Gertrude T. Segars, 85, of Hartselle was Friday, March 3, at 1 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with the Revs. Joe Nuss and Mike Eaton officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Bethel Cemetery.
Mrs. Segars died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006, at Huntsville Hospital.
She was born Dec. 21, 1920, in Lawrence County to William Lonzo Tyler and Ethel M. Lanier Tyler. She retired from the Goodyear Mill in Decatur and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Grady Segars and a son, Melvin Harold Segars.
She is survived by a son, Joel Segars of Hartselle; a daughter, Shelby Jean Cole of Hartselle; two sisters, Helen Haynes and Pauline Rains , both of Hartselle; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jerry White, Daniel Vest, Terry Henry II, Tim Segars, Mike Eaton and Jerry Nuss.
