John Nathan Anders

Funeral for John Nathan Anders, 77, of Hartselle was Monday, Feb. 13, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Ray Crump and Charlie Brown officiating.
Burial was in Herring Cemetery.
Mr. Anders died Friday, Feb. 10, 2006, at his residence. He was born Aug. 28, 1928, in Morgan County to Hillard and Mattie Curtis Anders. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post No. 4190 in Decatur and a member of Danville Masonic Lodge. He was a retired farmer and a member of West End United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Nadine Anders and a sister, Olivia A. Parker.
He is survived by his wife, Faye M. Anders of Hartselle; two daughters, Jayne Prater and husband Dewayne of Danville and Ava McCullar of Hartselle; a brother, Esmer L. Anders and wife Kathleen of Hartselle; grandchildren, Amanda and Rusty Harris, Matt and Lana Prater; Mitchel and Candice Prater; and Meghan and Adam Waldrop; and great-grandchildren, Kayla and Katie Harris, Brodie Waldrop, Anna Waites and Reagan Prater.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Matthew Prater, Mitchell Prater, Rusty Harris and Adam Waldrop, nephew, Jimmy McMillan and great-nephew, Drew Prater.
Honorary pallbearers were Willis Sapp, L.Q. Harrison, James Royce Fairbanks, Coy Culbreath, Tony Sapp, Harry Newman and the men of West End Methodist Church.
