Danville splits pair of games with Hatton

The Lady Hawks suffered a road loss Monday night against Hatton.
Danville trailed 24-16 at halftime.
Lauren Simmons and Kristen Sparkman each scored 10 points to lead Danville (12-11). Alaina Fitzgerald added six points for the Lady Hawks.
Sparkman and Simmons both had good nights rebounding as well, collecting seven and eight boards respectively.
Bethany Evans dished out eight assists.
Kaitlyn Fleming led Speake with 15 points.

Stratton Garner scored a game-high 31 points as Danville cruised to a 15-point victory over Hatton on the road Monday night.
Danville (12-10) led 22-17 after one quarter of play, 38-35 at halftime and 63-47 after three quarters.
Chris Vest had 22 points for the Hawks and Roger Smith added nine.
For Hatton, Calvin Ard led the way with 18 points. The Hornets knocked down 16 three-pointers against the Danville defense but did little else offensively.
