Fannie Gardner Clayton

Funeral for Fannie Gardner Clayton, 88, of Birmingham, formerly of Cullman, was Saturday, Nov. 12, at 1 p.m. at Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Cullman with the Rev. Ralph Andrews officiating.
Burial was in Mission Grove Baptist Cemetery.
Mrs. Clayton died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2005, at Medical Center East. She was born Feb. 11, 1917, to J. H. Gardner and Pearlie Knighten Gardner. She was a hairdresser.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Clayton.
She is survived by a son, Damon Howell of Birmingham; one brother, Howard Gardner of Cullman; three sisters, Mittee Shaw of Cullman, Velma Everett of Addison and Audrey Kiser of New Orleans, La.; a granddaughter, Debbie Amado; three great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Eva Clayton of Alabaster and sister-in-law and special caregiver, Ola Mae Lee of Birmingham.
Pallbearers were Bobby Gibson, Jonas Simmons, David Amado, Carlos Amado, Blake Welden, Lee Gallant and Anthony Pipper.
Memorials may be made to the Mission Grove Baptist Church Building Fund.
