W. T. 'Dub' 'Pappy' Hames

Funeral for W. T. "Dub" "Pappy" Hames, 69, of Hartselle was Monday, Oct. 31, at 1 p.m. at Pattillo Street Church of God with the Revs. Samuel Parker, John McPeek and Calvin Westmoreland officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Liberty Cemetery.
Mr. Hames died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005, at his residence. He was born Oct. 28, 1936, in Morgan County to Dallas W. Hames Sr. and Lillian M. Whitlow Hames.
He was a truck driver for East &West Trucking Company and a member of Faith Chapel Praise Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Christy Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Jean McCay Hames of Hartselle; a son, Alton J. Hames of Danville; four daughters, Belinda Hames Johnson and husband Bryan, Ronda Hames Wright and husband Randy, all of Hartselle, Marita L. Payne and husband Billy Joe of Hillsboro and Amanda Hames Pepper and husband Danny of Hartselle; two brothers, Edwin Hames of Decatur and Dallas Hames Jr. of Trinity; two sisters, Marie Phillips and Jane Mickalow, both of Trinity; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Josh Johnson, Jerry Johnson, Darrell Payne, James Parker, Michael James Maxwell, Charlie Pepper and Kevin Beasley.
