Our opinion
The crowds were there. The vendors were ready for business. The weather was picture-perfect.
Depot Days 2005 was a model of a successful city festival. There were an adequate number of vendors and attractions for all ages and the event was well organized. Traffic flow was a good as can be expected. Performers were entertaining and the crowds were receptive. The Depot Days Committee and the Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce deserve congratulations for their work on Depot Days. There were some bumps along the way and we hope procedures are in place next year to avoid those. On the whole, though, Depot Days 2005 was something for the entire city to celebrate.
