An aerial surveillance by the Morgan County Drug Task Force led to the arrest of a Falkville man and the seizure of 46 marijuana plants.
Rex Keith West, 43, is charged with trafficking in marijuana after agents seized the plants Sept. 19. Agents searched West's property at 2605 Highway 55 East where they found harvested marijuana plants.
A later aerial search of some 30 acres near the property led to the discovery of 46 adult marijuana plants.
If harvested, Sheriff's Department officials, said they would have produced some 46 pounds of marijuana with a street value of some $55,000.
West was taken to the Morgan County Jail on $50,000 bond.
