Funeral for Lucille Catherine Schober, 86, of Cullman, formerly of Ripley County, was Wednesday, Sept. 7, at 10 a.m. at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan, Mo., with the Rev. Larry Basham officiating.
Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Pittman, Ark.
Mrs. Schober died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2005, in Cullman. She was born Dec. 6, 1918, in Pittman, Ark., to Loyd and Ethel Johnson Stauffer. She attended the Church of God in Doniphan. She was a distillery worker in Peoria, Ill. She enjoyed embroidering quilt tops, playing dominos and bingo and spending time with her family. She married Joseph Schober Jr. in Doniphan on April 11, 1936. He preceded her in death on Oct. 17, 1996. She was also preceded in death by a twin brother, Lewis C. Stauffer.
She is survived by a daughter, Judith Ann Cline and husband James Rodney of Cullman; two grandchildren, Danniel Cline and wife Heather of South Bend, Ind. and Kenda Hunt and husband Kendall of Falkville; five great-grandchildren, Joseph Cline, Paul Cline, Colette Cline, Justin Cline and Austin Hunt; one niece, Virginia Lucille Walker of Cresswell, Ore. and one nephew, Joe Lewis Stauffer of Alpine, Calif.
Pallbearers were Charles Johnson, Melvin Nesbit, Johnny Dusza, Paul Dismang, Walter Barnes and Lewis Stauffer.
