Harold Poynor

Funeral for Harold Poynor, 83, of Hartselle will be Thursday, Sept. 1 (today), at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel in Meridian, Miss., with the Rev. Carl White officiating.
Burial will be in Oddfellow's Cemetery in Quitman, Miss.
Mr. Poynor died Friday, Aug. 26, 2005, at his residence. He was born Jan. 17, 1922, in Mississippi to Frank Leonard Poynor and Willie Merle Miles Poynor. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Meridian for more than 30 years where he served faithfully. He lived the last few weeks with his sister, Wilma Oliver of Hartselle. He was retired as vice president of Sparten Building Supply.
He is survived by two sons, Steven Harold Poynor of Heidelberg and John William Poynor of Collierville, Tenn.; two sisters, Wilma Poynor Oliver of Hartselle and Jean Poynor Spencer of Memphis, Tenn; a granddaughter, Amy Poynher McHenry of Meridian, Miss.; and two great-grandchildren, Cody and Chloe McHenry of Meridian, Miss.
