Margaret Thomason Barkley

Funeral for Margaret Thomas Barkley, 82, of Hartselle was Wednesday, Aug. 24, at 11 a.m. at Lebanon Baptist Church with the Revs. Randy Ashley and A. Ray Lee officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Lebanon Cemetery.
Mrs. Barkley died Monday, Aug. 22, 2005, at her residence. She was born Dec. 31, 1922 to Lottie Summerford Thomason and F. B. "Pete" Thomason. Lebanon Baptist Church was her home church, the church was very special to her. For more than 40 years she provided flowers for the communion table. Mrs. Barkley was a loving mother and a special grandmother to her grandchildren. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her work as a volunteer at The Caring Place.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy Dobbs and husband Bill and Jeanette Aycock and husband Jim; a sister, Ruth Thomason Wiley; a brother, Lewis E. Thomason; four grandchildren, Alan Dobbs and wife Cheree', Chris Dobbs, Amy Aycock and Barkley Franklin and husband Brian; two nieces, Patti Wiley Kimbrough and Tracy Thomason; and two nephews, Scott Wiley and Ed Thomason.
Pallbearers were Bobby Rhoads, Don Crow, Bobby Anders, Elton Weaver, Gary Grantland, Mike Garnett and Harold Lee.
Memorials may be made to the Lebanon Baptist Church Piano Fund or to Hospice of the Valley.
