Hooks, Darnell to wed Oct. 8
David and Liz Elkins Hooks of Tallassee announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Elizabeth Hooks, to Marshall Allen Darnell, son of Byron and Bonnie Brown Darnell of Louisville, Ky. and Linda Rowell Darnell of Auburn.
The bride-elect is a 1998 graduate of Falkville High School, and a graduate of Southern Union State Community College and Auburn University–Montgomery's Interior Decorating Program. She is currently preparing for the state real estate licensing exam. She is an interior decorator for Trenditionals of Montgomery.
She is the granddaughter of Joe Hooks of Tallassee, the late Wally Hooks, and the late Jack and Pauline Elkins.
The groom-elect is a 1995 graduate of Auburn High School and a graduate of Southern Union State Community College with a specialty in HVAC.
He is the maintenance manager for The Reserve on South College in Auburn.
He is the grandson of B.B. and Mildred Darnell of Notasulga and Webbie and Winnie Rowell of Loachapoka.
The wedding will held Oct. 8 at 6 p.m. at Macedonia Christian Church in Tallassee.
Blankenship, Bressette to wed
Tommy G. and Doris M. Blankenship of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Sandi Dee Blankenship, to Chris Lee Bressette, son of Bernard and Edwina Bressette of Decatur.
The bride-elect is a 1995 graduate of Hartselle High School, a 2000 graduate of Athens State University with a bachelor's in human resources management, and a 2005 graduate of Florida Institute of Technology with a master's in human resources management. She is employed with Colonial Grand at Edgewater as a marketing specialist.
She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Barney L. Maples and Mr. and Mrs. John H. Blankenship.
The groom-elect is a 1994 graduate of Hartselle High School.
He is employed with Lowe's of Huntsville as a department manager.
He served eight years in the United States Army as a logistics specialist.
He is the grandson of Hazel and Edard Jeffreys of Town Creek and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Bresette.
The wedding will be held Sept. 24 at Annabella at Cedar Glen of Huntsville.
Sparkman, Landry to wed
Mr. and Mrs. Mike Albritton of Denham Springs, La. and Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Sparkman of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Michelle Elizabeth Sparkman, to Jace Adam Landry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Landry of Denham Springs, La.
The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Denham Springs High School. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Horace Sparkman of Hartselle, Mrs. Marcelee Mayfield of Clanton, Mr. and Mrs. Joe G. Sharp of Decatur, and the late Rev. Jack Mayfield.
The groom-elect is a 2002 graduate of Denham Springs High School.
He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Landry and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Thornton.
The wedding will be held Aug. 27 at 7 p.m. at Forrest Grove Plantation in Denham Springs.
