Trio of local residents selected for band auxiliary UNA
Majorettes, Lionette dance line and color guard participants have been selected for the 2005-2006 University of North Alabama Pride of Dixie Band, directed by Lloyd Jones.
Local residents selected for the band are: color guard, Brittany Grammer, Hartselle High, freshman, nursing, daughter of Morris and Janie Grammer, Hartselle; color guard, Courtney White, Hartselle High, senior, professional writing, daughter of Vicki Jeffreys and Gary White, Hartselle; and color guard, Sarah Pigg, Brewer High, junior, nursing, daughter of Mike and Amy Pigg, Decatur.
Students on dean's list
The University of Alabama announced the following local students were named to the dean's list for the spring semester: Ashley L. Holladay of Danville; John Wesley Hardin and Ross A. Summerford of Falkville; Elisa D. Aldridge, Stacie M. Allen, Cullen J. Brown, Anna C. Byrd, Derek H. Calvert, Walter L. Fanning, Margaret Mae Hendrix, Ashley N. Jackson, and Erin M. Thompson, all of Hartselle; Lindsey Marie Smith of Lacey's Spring; and Peyton T. Blankenship of Somerville.
