    Weddings and engagements

    Light, Self exchange vows
    Ryan Leeann Light and Brian Thomas Self, both of Hartselle, were wed June 18, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church of Hartselle with the Rev. J.L. Hopper officiating.
    The bride is the daughter of Terry and Lisa Light of Falkville and Tammy Nelson of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Thomas and Betsy Self of Hartselle.
    The church featured live ferns and ivy accented with white tulle bows and an angel wing candelabra centered behind the altar.
    The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a formal gown of diamond white duchess satin. The strapless gown was fashioned with a molded bodice, richly embellished with hand beading in the design of vines and flowers. The fitted natural waist was emphasized by a sweep of fabric to the side with an inset, also adorned with beading flowing from the waist. The gown carried a semi-cathedral length train. Her fingertip veil of French tulle, accented with hand beading, was made by her grandmother. Her bouquet featured cobra lilies, white snapdragons and Queen Ann lace.
    Lisa Leeth of Hartselle was matron of honor.
    Bridal attendants were Kelly Self and Ashley Self, sisters of the groom, both of Hartselle.
    They wore raspberry and white gowns of assorted lengths and styles and carried bouquets of cobra lilies, mauve carnations and white snapdragons accented with Queen Ann lace.
    Mikayla Hawkins and Haylee Shepard, both of Hartselle, were flower girls.
    Travis Light of Falkville, brother of the bride, was ring bearer.
    Michael Bombard of Hartselle was best man.
    Groomsmen were Shane Hayes of Birmingham and T.J. Light, brother of the bride.
    Jason Peasley and Aaron Peasley, both of Georgia, were ushers.
    Music was provided by Mary Jane Turrentine.
    Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the fellowship hall.
    The bride's table featured a three-tier white cake with butter cream icing and shelled arrays of gum pasted flowers. Candles accented the table.
    The groom's table featured a single layer chocolate cake with strawberry mousse filling. Fresh vegetables spilled from a horn-of-plenty with assorted dips and crackers.
    Mary Jane Turrentine, Sally Corum and Lisa Halbrooks were wedding directors. Pat Peasley, Juanita Helms, Sherry McDaniel, Sheila Banks and Charlene Woodruff assisted with the reception.
    Allison Peasley of Georgia attended the bride's book.
    The couple honeymooned at Myrtle Beach, S.C. They reside in Huntsville.
    A rehearsal dinner was held July 17 hosted by the groom's parents at their home.
    The couple was honored with several pre-nuptial events, including:
    Bradley, Randolph exchange vows
    Alyson Leann Bradley and Clay Bradley Randolph were married May 21 at the home of the bride's parents.
    The bride is the daughter of Thomas and Donna Bradley of Centre and the granddaughter of Annie Bradley and the late Dr. Eugene Bradley of Centre and Noah and Peggy Webster of Hartselle. The groom is the son of James and Rhonda Randolph of Northport and the grandson of Kathleen Randolph and the late J.C. Randolph of Fayette and Ramon and Helen Clement of Jasper.
    The Rev. Jim Wright and the Rev. Ben Jameson performed the ceremony.
    Music was provided by Alana Allen, harpist. Soloist was Katy Ott McKee.
    Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of ivory matte satin designed exclusively by 2 Be Bridals. The strapless gown featured a straight across neckline. A sash of spun gold matte satin accented the dropped waistline. The ballerina length gown skirt had box pleats. Streamers, the length of the gown, fell from the back of the spun gold sash at the dropped waistline. She wore a fingertip length veil of silk illusion trimmed in rolled satin ribbon. Her hand-tied bouquet featured off white Virginia roses and off white Stephanitis with off white ribbon. She was attended by Heather Bradley as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Leah Bradley, Margaret Case, Meggan Crane, Mary Ellis, Lindsey Elmore, Laura Linsey, Jessica Nelson, Leah Randolph and Laurie Stewart. They wore ballerina length champagne strapless gowns of satin with off white ribbons at the waistline. They carried Kissing Balls of purple status, purple waxflowers and off white spray roses.
    Flower girls were Callie Jameson and Colby Myer. Kristi Webster attended the bride's book. Charley Holloway, Sara Elizabeth Hale and Caroline Hale handed out programs.
    The groom's father was best man. Groomsmen were Michael Bradley, Brad Crow, Eric Ott, Justin Ott, Clint Randolph, Justin Synder, Clay Trimm and Clifton Yessick. Dakota Webster was an usher. Tyler Jameson was the ring bearer.
    Mandi Caldwell directed the wedding.
    Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the bride's parent's home.
    After a wedding trip to Sea Grove, Fla., the couple resides in Northport.
    An after-rehearsal dinner was given by the groom's parents at the Bama Belle in Centre.
    Hudspeth, Eringman exchange vows
    Jessica Kendall Hudspeth and William John Eringman were wed May 15, 2005 at Jericho Farm, the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe M. Johnson, in Fairhope with the Rev. James W. Hill officiating.
    The bride is the daughter of Melony Orr Hudspeth of Fairhope. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Orr, formerly of Hartselle, and the great granddaughter of Linnell P. Orr of Hartselle and the late Leon Orr.
    The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Eringman of Fairhope.
    The ceremony took place on the grounds of the estate where the lake made a perfect backdrop for the gazebo, decorated with blue hydrangeas, pink and white roses, and an assortment of seasonal flowers. The central arrangement was of the same theme and placed in memory of Robert McDaniel "Danny" Orr, late uncle of the bride.
    Given in marriage by her mother, the bride wore a white satin strapless gown with an organza overlay adorned with pearls, hand-sewn by her mother and sister. He veil was elbow-length tulle with silk ribbon trim. She carried a bouquet of white hydrangeas, pink and white roses and delphinium.
    Savanne Hudspeth, sister of the bride, was maid of honor.
    Bridal attendants were Sabrina Paulas and Paige Sims of Fairhope, Melanie Calkins of Niceville, Fla., and Emily Orr of Hartselle, cousin of the bride. They wore custom-made dresses of Dupioni silk in the shade of ice blue and carried bouquets of blue hydrangeas and pink and white roses.
    Alexis Eringman and Kyla Eringman, nieces of the groom, were flower girls.
    The groom's father was best man.
    Groomsmen were John Eringman Jr., Tobias Eringman and Michael Eringman, brothers of the groom, and Jake Stanford.
    Following the ceremony, a reception was held on the estate.
    The bride's table featured a square, four-tier cake of ice blue with a floral design mimicking the lace pattern on the bride's gown and adorned with white hydrangeas and white roses.
    The groom's table featured a chocolate cake topped with white hydrangeas.
    During the reception, guests were entertained by the bride and her bridesmaids with their rendition of "Fever," dedicated to the groom. The couple honeymooned in Las Vegas. They reside in Fairhope.
    Sharp, Verble to wed Sept. 10
    Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Lee Carpenter of Decatur and Mr. Arthur David Sharp of Cullman announce the engagement of their daughter, Leigh Carmen Sharp, to Keith Robert Verble, son of Mrs. Anita Jean Verble of Huntsville and the late Mr. Adas James Verble Jr.
    The bride-elect is a 1998 graduate of Hartselle High School and will graduate this fall from Athens State University with a bachelor's degree in human resource management. She is employed at Park Community Credit Union as a financial services representative.
    She is the granddaughter of Mr. Wallace Douglas Weeks of Decatur, Mrs. Ruth Puckett Sharp of Hartselle, the late Mrs. Faye Pounds Weeks, and the late Mr. Arthur Chapman Sharp.
    The groom-elect is a 1988 graduate of Madison County High School and a 1996 graduate of The University of Alabama with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He is employed with Yulista Management Services Inc. as a mechanical engineer.
    He is the grandson of the late Mr. Adas James Verble Sr., the late Elizabeth Moore Verble, the late Royal Randolph Jean and the late Kathleen Neely Jean.
    The wedding will be held Sept. 10 at First United Methodist Church in Hartselle.
    Emerson, Huggins to wed in Auburn
    Zachery Ian Emerson and Stephanie Lynn Huggins would like to announce their upcoming wedding on July 30, 2005. Emerson is the son of Dwight and Diane Emerson of Hartselle. Huggins is the daughter of Bob Huggins of McKenzie and the late Dorothy Huggins.
    Huggins graduated from McKenzie High School in 1995 and received her bachelor of chemical engineering from Auburn University in 2001. She is currently employed as an Environmental Engineer with Hill-Staton Engineers, Inc. in Columbus, Ga.
    Emerson graduated from Hartselle High School in 1997 and then went on to receive a bachelor of chemical engineering and a master's of science in chemical engineering from Auburn University in 2001 and 2003.
    Emerson is currently pursing his doctoral degree in chemical engineering and plans to teach college engineering following graduation.
    The couple plans to be wed at the Auburn University Chapel on South College Street, with a reception to follow at the Greystone Mansion. The couple will continue to reside in Auburn following the wedding.
