Teen allegedly raped in car
A 29-year-old Cullman man is charged with rape and sodomy following an alleged rape in the parking lot of Hartselle's Wal-Mart June 24.
Adan Avilla Rodriguez of 1201 Dripping Springs Road, Apt. B in Cullman, is charged with rape and sodomy in the first degree. On June 24, Hartselle Police were notified of a rape that allegedly occurred in the parking lot of Hartselle's Wal-Mart. A 13-year-old said she was forced to have sexual intercourse with an unknown Hispanic male inside a parked car. Police said the teenager had previous contact with the man but did not know his name. Investigators Amy Crouch and Alan McDearmond later identified the man as Rodriguez. He was arrested at his workplace in Cullman on the two felony warrants. He is being held in Morgan County Jail on $60,000 bond.
