Weddings and Engagements

McKee, Meadows exchange vows
Kelly Lynn McKee and Tyde Armstrong Meadows, both of Hartselle, were wed Saturday, June 11, 2005, at 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Hartselle with the Rev. Brooks Barkley officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steven J. McKee of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Meadows of Hartselle.
The church and altar were adorned with a large, central arrangement of all white flowers, including calla lilies, French tulips, hydrangeas and roses. White flowers and flowing greenery accented the church's windowsills and door tops.
The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore a gown of candlelight organza over tiara satin featuring a strapless bodice trimmed in silver embroidery, crystal beads and seed pearls. The silk organza overskirt showcased a complimentary medallion executed in silver embroidery, crystal beads and seed pearls. The laced back flowed into a chapel length train. She wore a fingertip length veil of silk illusion trimmed in Swarovski crystals. Her hand-tied bouquet featured white hydrangeas, white tulips and Vendella roses with each stem enclosed with beaded French sheer ribbon and enhanced by pearl studs.
Tiffany Wells of Hartselle was maid of honor.
Bridal attendants were Ashley Wood, Stacy Drake and Cara Roberts, all of Hartselle, Beverly Formby of Centre, and Kellie Letson of Moulton. They wore raspberry-melon A-line strapless gowns of iridescent chiffon with asymmetrical gathered detail at the bodice and a slight train. They carried hand-tied bouquets of mixed flowers, including white hydrangeas, white Anna roses and Porcelina spray roses, with each steam wrapped in sheer ribbon.
Carrie Leigh Hanners of Hartselle was flower girl. Houston Wright of Hartselle was ring bearer.
David Grisham of Hartselle was best man.
Groomsmen were Tron Meadows, Trai Meadows and Case McKee, all of Hartselle, Clay Doggett of Pulaski, Tenn., and Ryan Bowerman of Moulton.
Ushers were Brandon Wallace, Walter Segars and Russell Moore, all of Hartselle, and Troy Mitchell of Ardmore.
Music was provided by pianist Martha Bowling of Hartselle, soloist Kay Dekalb Smith of Brentwood, and soloist John Cunningham of Tulsa, Okla.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Terri Pines Country Club in Cullman.
The bride's table featured a four-tiered white cake with buttercream icing and white hydrangea accents.
The groom's table featured a double-layer square chocolate cake with chocolate icing and strawberry accents.
Donna Segars, Cindy Sparkman, Gail Hale, Sherry Woodard, Susan Moore, Shirley Wells, Anita Baugher and Kaye Clemons assisted with the reception.
Wedding directors were Becky Tankersley, Erlene Clark and Dana Gladden.
Susie Stephenson and Elizabeth Wesson, both of Hartselle, attended the bride's book.
The bride's 2004-2005 second grade class of Barkley Bridge Elementary School distributed bubbles.
The couple honeymooned on a cruise to the southern Caribbean. They will reside in Hartselle.
A rehearsal dinner hosted by the groom's parents was held June 10 at All Steak Restaurant in Cullman. A bridal luncheon hosted by Ashley Wood, Stacy Drake and Debbie Strickland was held June 4 at The Oden House Bed and Breakfast.
The couple was honored with several pre-nuptial events, including:
Bailey, Gilstrap to wed July 16
Jerry and Melissa Bailey of Axis announce the engagement their daughter, Karin Jessica Bailey, to William Walton Gilstrap, son of William and Montez Gilstrap Jr. of Hartselle.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Satsuma High School.
She is currently attending the University of South Alabama where she is a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jane Ellison, Sammie Bailey, the late Rev. J.W. Bailey and the late Sidney Ellison.
The groom-elect is a graduate of A.P. Brewer High School.
He is currently attending the University of South Alabama.
The future groom is the grandson of Maxine and William Gilstrap and the late Margaret and Horace Walton.
The wedding will be held Saturday, July 16 in Mobile.
