Funeral for Mabel Hampton Anders, 84, of Falkville was Wednesday, June 15, at 10 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Al Grounds officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Anders died Monday, June 13, 2005, at Autumn Trace Retirement Center in Talladega. She was born July 27, 1920, in Lawrence County to James Dennis Hampton and Mary Etta West Hampton. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Falkville where she taught Sunday school for 40 years. Mrs. Anders taught at Danville School for three years and the rest of her 37 years at Falkville School.
She is survived by her husband, John K. Anders of Falkville; two sisters, Edith Osborn and Ruth Lawrence, both of Hartselle; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were James Hayes, Franklin Holmes, Kenneth Vinzant, Hreyo Lawrence, Craig Lawrence, Ricky Hardin and Jimmy Steele.
