Lance Cpl. Jonathan Lee Smith

Funeral for Marine Lance Cpl. Jonathan Lee Smith, 22, of Eva was Monday, June 13, at 11 a.m. at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Craig Johnson officiating.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with full military honors.
Lance Cpl. Smith was killed June 6, 2005, near Fallujah, Iraq, while conducting combat operations during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
He was born April 8, 1983, in Carroll County, Ga., to Garry Smith and Donna Dean Smith. He was a 2002 graduate for A. P. Brewer High School.
He is survived by his parents, Garry and Donna Dean Smith of Eva; one sister, Adrienne Smith of Eva; and grandparents, Ira Jean Smith of Carrollton, Ga. and Bobby Jane Dean of Roopville, Ga.
