Sharon Diane Warnock Roden

Funeral for Sharon Roden, 42, of Springfield, Tenn., was Monday, April 11, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Denson Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Springfield, Tenn. with Dr. Joe Butler and Rev. Ricky Page officiating and Robertson County Funeral Home of Springfield directing.
A graveside service was held Tuesday, April 12, at 11 a.m. at Hartselle Memorial Gardens with Dr. Joe Butler officiating and Hilda Heady delivering the eulogy with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Roden died Friday, April 8, 2005, at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville. She was born Sept. 19, 1962, in Cocoa Beach, Florida to Dale Warnock and Fay Jones Warnock. She was a member of Mt. Denson Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Springfield and was formerly employed by the Morgan County Alabama Sheriff's Department and by the Robertson County Tennessee Sheriff's Department.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Scott Bryan Roden of Springfield, Tenn.; one son, Joshua Roden of Springfield, Tenn.; one daughter, Amber Roden, of Springfield, Tenn.; her mother, Fay Jones Warnock of Elora, Tenn.; one sister, Sheila Sempek and husband James of Fayetteville, Tenn.; one brother, Bro. Rick McElyea of Huntsville; niece, Belinda Nicholson of Fayetteville, Tenn.; nephew, Jason Sempek and wife Alyssa of Fayetteville, Tenn.; mother-in-law and step-father-in-law, Jessie Ruth Sturdivant and husband Claude of Hartselle; brother-in-law, Greg Roden of Hartselle; and three great-grand nephews, Asher and Ian Nicholson and Evan Sempek, all of Fayetteville, Tenn.; and many other relatives and friends. Memorials may be made to the Robertson County (Tennessee) Relay for Life, or the Morgan County Relay for Life in memory of Sharon Roden.
