Stejskal fires no-hitter for HHS

Hartselle senior Elizabeth Stejskal fired the first no-hitter of the season for the Lady Tigers, March 26 during their trip to Soddy Daisy, Tenn.
Stejskal's gem opened tournament play for Hartselle as they faced Morristown, Tenn. High School. She threw seven innings, while striking out eight batters as Hartselle won 5-1. The one run came after a batter reached base on an error and would later score on another Lady Tiger error.

At the plate, Haley Miller went three-for-three, while Stejskal helped her own cause with a double and a run scored.
Lindsay Robinson had two hits, including a double and scored one run, while Kayla Orr had one hit and scored once. Sarah Whitlow and Shanice Johnson both walked and scored one run each, while Catie Keel had two hits and scored once.
Jessica Barbrey had two sacrifice bunts to advance runners.
Hartselle 5, Central-Chattanooga 3
Mary Curtis threw seven innings and allowed six hits, while picking up the win. She allowed three runs and struck out four.
Orr went two-for-two with two runs scored, while Whitlow had one hit, reached on an error and scored twice. Johnson scored once, while Robinson, Miller and Segars had one hit each.
East Ridge, Tenn. 2, Hartselle 0
Breanna Segars threw six innings of three-hit ball as she suffered the loss. She walked four and struck out three batters.
Orr had the only hit for the Lady Tigers.
Science Hill, Tenn. 4, Hartselle 2
Stejskal threw one-and-two-thirds innings, before being relieved by Curtis. Stejskal fanned one batter, while Curtis recorded six strikeouts.
At the plate, Johnson had two hits, including a double, while Orr and Whitlow scored one run each. Collins contributed two singles.
