I am a hero

By Staff
Progress edition on newsstands March 31
"True heroism is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others, at whatever cost." – – Arthur Ashe
Dear Readers,
Progress is the Hartselle Enquirer's annual special edition devoted to covering all aspects of life in our community. In determining this year's focus, we decided to take a look at the people who have made a difference in the lives of others. In this undertaking, we learned there are numerous people who contribute in a variety of ways, big and small. Some are volunteers at their church, others help keep their community clean and safe. Some make a difference by starting programs to benefit those in the future, others by taking the time to make a change in one person's life.
By no means are the stories inside this issue a definitive list of all those who are hometown heroes. There are many more who go about their business daily, making a difference and helping others. We hope, however, this special edition thanks some of those who have given of themselves through the years and inspires others to do their part, too. So, thank you, to our heroes, our advertisers and readers for making this edition possible.
