Funeral for William O. Terry Jr., 73, of Hartselle was Monday, Feb. 14, at 11 a.m. at First Assembly of God of Hartselle with Bro. Jesse White officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Mr. Terry died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born June 17, 1931, in Morgan County to William Oscar Terry Sr. and Ida Elizabeth Morris Terry. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He was an Angus Cattle Farmer in Morgan County for many years and was a member of The Alabama Cattleman's Association and The American Angus Association. Mr. Terry was a member of the Hartselle First Assembly of God, where he was a church deacon and leader of the Men's Ministry Group.
He is survived by his wife Laura Terry of Hartselle; three sons, Roderick Stewart Terry, Steven Byron Terry and Michael Wayne Terry, all of Hartselle; two brothers, Thurman Terry of Decatur and David M. Terry of Ripley; one sister, Martha Mae Singleton of Decatur; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons Beau Terry, Christopher Terry, Spencer Terry, Andrew Terry, and Matthew Terry, and Chris Russell, Oliver Townsend and Gary Phillips.
