Funeral for Elsie Hayton, 88, of Falkville was Monday, Feb. 7, at 2 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Teague officiating.
A private burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Mrs. Hayton died Friday, Feb. 4, 2005, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born March 10, 1916, in Passaic County, N.J., to William Balfour Nicoll and Jacomina Martin Nicoll. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Hayton, three brothers and their wives, Douglas Nicoll and Jenny, Robert Nicoll and Betsy, and John Nicoll and Audrey, sister-in-law Betty Leone and husband Al and sister-in-law, Maggie Hayton.
She is survived by four daughters, Maryann Strickland and husband Curtis of Falkville, Dorothy Leach and husband James of Bedias, Texas, Beverly Stephens of Falkville and Lynn Peterson of New Jersey; grandchildren, Sherie Martin, Amy Johnson, Laurie Brown, Donellyn Clayton, Eric Stephens and Heather Stephens; nine great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
