Funeral service for John Ottis Carroll Sr., 83, was Wednesday, Feb. 2, at 11 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church in the Upshaw community with the Revs. Jerry Baker, Glen Wood and Donnie Carroll officiating and Nichols Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Carroll died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005, at his residence. He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey; and parents, Edgar E. and Virginia Carroll.
He is survived by two sons, Donald Keith and John O. Carroll Jr., both of Addison; one brother, James Otis Carroll Sr. of Addison; one sister, Louise Lawrence of Hartselle; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
