A graveside service for Glen Spencer, 54, of Hartselle was Saturday, Jan. 8, at 11:30 a.m. at Herring Cemetery with Gary Patton officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Spencer died Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, at his residence. He was born April 17, 1950, in Limestone County to Walter Spencer and Lillian Coggin Spencer.
He was a member of Somerville Road Church of Christ. He was employed by Parr Contracting. He was a loving husband, father and granddaddy.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Spencer of Hartselle; one son, Jason Spencer and wife Amber of Birmingham; two daughters, Joyce Ambrose and husband John of Brentwood, Tenn. and Jennifer Hendrix and husband Chris of Birmingham; three brothers, Clayton Spencer of Billingsley, Joe Spencer of Homestead, Fla. and William Spencer of Lester; two sisters, Nancy Pressnell of Decatur and Martha Nelson of Athens; and one grandson, Spencer Ambrose.
Pallbearers were David Parr, John Ambrose, Chris Hendrix, Trai Meadows, Tyde Meadows and Tron Meadows.
