Madeen Gray Vinson

Funeral for Madeen Gray Vinson, 79, of Hartselle was Monday, Dec. 20, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dewitt Crowe officiating.
Burial was in Herring Cemetery.
Mrs. Vinson died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004, at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born Aug. 12, 1925, in Lawrence County to John Richard Gray and Jewell Gann Gray. She worked at Lurleen B. Wallace Center as a cottage parent. She was a very loving grandmother. She was a member of Southwest Baptist Church. Mrs. Vinson was preceded in death by a brother, Coy Gray, and two sisters, Versie Anderson and Geneva Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Pruitt "Pete" C. Vinson of Hartselle; one son, Hillard Reeves and wife Jimelle of Massey; two daughters, Patricia R. Waters and husband Paul of Hartselle, and Kathy Giarratano of Tampa, Fla.; one stepson, Charles Vinson and wife Janice of Decatur; four stepdaughters, Brenda Hicks of Decatur, Anita Fuller and husband Joe of Courtland, Irene Wunch and husband Tom of Falkville, and Sue Bentley and husband Dennis of Cullman; one brother, Vernon Gray of Moulton; one sister, Betty Margaret Harris of Russellville; seven grandchildren; 18 stepgrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and 31 step-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons.
