Thurman Turney

A graveside service for Thurman Turney, 84, of Hartselle was Friday, Nov. 26, at 11 a.m. at Cook Cemetery with the Rev. A. Ray Lee officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Mr. Turney died Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, at Hartselle Medical Center. H
e was born Dec. 26, 1919, in Morgan County to Guy W. Turney and Florence Savannah (Baker) Turney.
He was a veteran of World War II, where he served in the United States Army, with the 27th Infantry Division.
He is survived by one daughter, Shirley Chiaverotti of Milwaukee, Wisc.; step-daughter, Shirley Kirk of Camden, Tenn.; two brothers, James C. Turney and wife Nell and Donald D. Turney all of Falkville; two sisters, Marie Turney Hammon and husband Gene of Decatur and Norma Jean Long of Hartselle; one grandson, Randy Chiaverotti of Milwaukee, Wisc.; one granddaughter, Michelle Chiaverotti of Toronto, Canada; great grandchildren, Dominic and Francesca Chiaverotti and Nikola Karovic; and loving nieces and nephews.
