Dorothy Elizabeth Daniel

A private graveside service for Dorothy Elizabeth Daniel, 74, of Decatur was Wednesday, Nov. 17, at 10 a.m. at Decatur City Cemetery with the Rev. David Phillips officiating.
Miss Daniel died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004, at her residence. She was born May 18, 1930, in Decatur to Ambros Harold Daniel and Mary Norwood Daniel. She retired from South Central Bell after 31 years as a telephone operator. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Miss Daniel volunteered for Telephone Pioneers, R.S.V.P., Senior Circle and as a foster grandparent.
She is survived by one sister-in-law, Wanda Daniel of Trinity; four nieces, Angela Daniel Teichmiller and husband Barry of Hartselle, Leigh Ann Gillespie and husband Frank Jr. of Trinity, Elizabeth Daniel and Jennifer Daniel; one nephew, Charles Daniel of Meridian, Miss.; two great-nieces, Laura Elizabeth Teichmiller of Hartselle and Courtney Gillespie of Trinity; and one great-nephew, Benjamin Teichmiller of Hartselle.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
