Mildred Jane Halbrooks

Funeral for Mildred Jane Halbrooks, 77, of Decatur was Tuesday, Sept. 14, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charlie McAdams, Bro. David Clemons and Dr. Steve Chandler officiating.
Burial was in Moss Chapel cemetery.
Mrs. Halbrooks died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born April 15, 1927, in Kentucky to A. D. Smallwood and Molly Mae Collier Smallwood. She was preceded in death by her husband John A. Halbrooks and a son, Gillon Halbrooks.
She is survived by four sons, Jimmy (Jim) Halbrooks and Johnny (Sam) Halbrooks, both of Decatur, A. D. Halbrooks and Larry Halbrooks, both of Hartselle; one brother, Rev. Carl Smallwood of Decatur; one sister, Molly Ann McAdams of Tanner; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Tommy Hardin, David McAdams, Keith Halbrooks, Kelly Halbrooks, Joe Pinnix and Brandon Compton.
Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Charles T. Prickett and Dr. Arthur Mays.
