Funeral for Louise Whitmore Train, 90, of Wethersfield, Conn., formerly of Hartford, Conn., was held Saturday, Sept. 11, at 10 a.m. at Rose Hill Funeral Home in Rocky Hill, Conn.
Burial was in Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Mrs. Train died Monday, Sept. 6, 2004, at Hartford Hospital. She was born Oct. 11, 1913, in Hartford to Nis B. and Elise Jensen Whitmore. She was retired after many years at Pratt &Whitney Small Tool Division. She was a member of Elmwood Community Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis B. Train; a son, Donald Train; two sisters, Emma L. Rourick and Anna Backstrom; four brothers, Ernest, Neil, Martin and Edward Whitmore and a special friend, Joseph deRezendes.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Nancy Train of Hartselle; three grandchildren, Robert Train and Beverly Train of Hartselle and Deborah Gagnon of New York; five great grandchildren, Bryan Gomez and Beth Louise Train of Hartselle; Stacey A. Gagnon, Malissa Rivera and Gilman Gagnon, III of New York; two great great grandchildren, Alexis Brown and Colby Rivera of New York; a niece Elise Rourick of Glastonbury; five nephews, Carl Backstrom and William Backstrom of Oregon; Richard Backstrom of California; Richard Whitmore of Vernon and Martin Whitmore of Mansfield Center.
