Funeral for Jessie Owen, 89, of Hartselle was Friday, Sept. 10, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Harold Thompson and Sandra Locke-Godbey officiating.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Owen died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2004, at Sunshine Haven Assisted Living in Hartselle. She was born April 26, 1915, in Lawrence County to James Oscar McKay and Kate V. McNutt McKay.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Glen Owen; one son , George Owen; and a sister, Nellie Owen. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hartselle.
She is survived by a daughter, Margarue Garner and husband Jack of Hartselle; one granddaughter, Sharon Horton and husband Glenn; and one great granddaughter, Jessica Horton.
Pallberarers were Jim Owen, Art Glasgow, Lynn Thrasher, Hayward Shelton, Charles Clemons and Alan Clemons.
