Funeral for Madgie L. Ward, 96, of Falkville was Tuesday, Aug. 31, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jessie Estes officiating.
Burial was in Lawrence Cove Cemetery.
Mrs. Ward died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2004, at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born Sept. 3, 1907, in Morgan County to William Thomas Lindsey and Mary Fannie Martin Lindsey. She was a member of the Lawrence Cove Baptist Church. She was an avid gardner and gave vegetables to all her friends and neighbors. She loved to visit and talk with relatives and friends. Her greatest love was God and going to church and reading her Bible. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Herman Ward.
She is survived by one sister, Drama Hester of Cullman; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers were Rabe Jones, Stan Drinkard, Randy Drinkard, Allen Perdue and Richard Lindsey.
