Herbert Nolan Smith

Funeral for Herbert Nolan Smith, 70, of Hartselle was Wednesday, Aug. 25, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Sparkman and Frank Stewart officiating.
Burial was in Herring Cemetery.
Mr. Smith died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004 at Parkway Medical Center. He was born July 19, 1934, in Illinois to William Samuel Smith and Mammie Gladys Phelps. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Gladys Smith, two brothers, Floyd Smith, Thomas Smith and four sisters, Elsie Moore, Velma Smith, Tonie Smith and Judy Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Iva Jean Smith; eight sons, Gene Smith, Larry Smith, Tommy Smith, Buddy Smith, Cody Burton, Devin Burton, Doug Lowery and Shawn Lowery; six daughters, Michelle Hale, Melissa Smith, Tonya Smith, Tammy Smith, Andrea Burton and Mary Trussell; four brothers, Cliff Smith, Jim Smith, Louis Smith and Bill Smith; and three sisters, Alma Gilliam, Lucille Miller and Mae Smith Patton.
Pallbearers were family members.
