Funeral for Dora Hunt Owen, 94, of Falkville, was Wednesday, Aug. 25, at 2 p.m. at Salem United Methodist Church with the Rev. Johnny Clark officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Owen died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2004, at Woodland Medical Center in Cullman. She was born February 6, 1910, in Morgan County to John Jackson Hunt and Ludie Mary Maner Hunt. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and had attended both Salem Methodist Church and Falkville Methodist Church. She had taught Sunday School for 55 years. She was a homemaker and loved to sew and crochet. She had worked at the Snow Shell Egg Company and The Regional Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie W. Owen and a son, Charles Winford Owen.
Pallbearers were Robert Miller, Bobby Garner, Ronald Cole, L. C. Robinson, Truman Pitman and Roy Wallace.
