Auther (Art) Sellers

Funeral for Auther (Art) Sellers, 73, of Decatur was Friday, July 30 at 1:30 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in Falkville City Cemetery.
Mr. Sellers died Tuesday, July 27, 2004, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born March 25, 1931, in N.C. to Charlie Richmond Sellers and Annie Ruth Swain Sellers.
Mr. Sellers was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Decatur. He was in the U.S. Air Force for eight years. He worked for Mass. Power Company in Boston for several years. He was also a personnel manager for Brown &Root Construction Company in Houston, Texas where he retired after 23 years. For the past seven years, he has driven the MCATS bus for the Morgan County Commission on aging part time.
Mr. Sellers is survived by his wife, Mary B. Sellers of Decatur; two stepsons, Edward A. Rogers II, of Decatur and Rodney E. Rogers of Danville; three stepdaughters, Rhonda H. Carrillo of Hartselle, Lori Culp of Union Grove, and Melanie Chamness of Albertville; two sisters Lucy M. Southerland of Southport, N.C., and Jane Creech of Supply, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Donations may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church in Decatur or St. Judes Hospital.
