Funeral for J.W. Thompson, 83, of Hartselle, 83, of Hartselle was Thursday, July 8, at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Thompson officiating.
Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Thompson died Tuesday, July 6, 2004, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Nov. 13, 1920, in Morgan County to Frank Thompson and Fairlena Price Thompson. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Heddy Braswell Thompson; two sons, Ricky Thompson and wife Linda of Hartselle and Mickey Thompson and wife April of Somerville; two daughters, Judy Borden and husband Wayne of Hartselle and Pam Kelley of Decatur; one sister, Tootsie Garrison of Hartselle; 10 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Mike Borden, Joel Caver, Jay Kodra, Stephen Downs, Darrell Thompson and Bill Waddle.
