Webber, Church exchange vows
Amanda (MandeeRae) JanNice Webber of Hartselle and Jeremy Watson (J.W.) Church of Jacksonville, Fla., were married April 24, 2004 at 5 p.m. at DoubleHead Resort in Town Creek with the Rev. Jimmy Haper officiating and the Rev. Jesse White giving communion.
The bride is the daughter of Joseph D. and Margaret J. Webber of Hartselle. The groom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Burt Church of Jacksonville, Fla.
The ceremony was held at the DoubleHead Resort Convention Center on the deck overlooking Wilson Lake.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white strapless gown with a bodice of encrusted seed pearls and crystals, followed by an organza A-line skirt of beaded appliques and ending with a chapel length train. She wore an elbow length veil of encrusted seed pearls and crystals. Her bouquet featured deep apple red roses.
Katrina Mahoney of Tucson, Ariz., was maid of honor.
Bridal attendants were Heather Hobby of Cleveland, Tenn., and Carolyn Williams of Priceville. Junior bridal attendant was Macy Linton of Jacksonville, Fla. Each attendant carried white lilies.
Tyra Sayre of Longview, Texas, and Mikeala Linton of Jacksonville, Fla., were the flower girls and the rice girls.
Chuck Linton of Jacksonville, Fla., was best man.
Groomsmen were David Hobby of Cleveland, Tenn., and Aaron Webber of Hartselle. Junior groomsman was Josh Brown of Jacksonville, Fla.
Ushers were Joseph V. Clark and Jeremy Clark, both of Eugene, Ore., and Tony Brown and Bobby Friend, both of Jacksonville, Fla.
Music was provided by David Harvel.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the resort's dining hall, decorated with white tulle, flowers and greenery.
The bride's table featured a five-tiered white cake with a Victorian theme. The groom's table featured a NFL Jacksonville, Florida Jaguar theme.
Cheryl McCorkle of Hartselle was the wedding director.
Rick and Brenda Langham of Hartselle, Laura Church of Jacksonville, Fla., Maria Church, Melody Merritt of Cleveland, Tenn., and Niki Sayre of Longview, Texas, assisted with the reception.
Georgia Collins of Cleveland, Tenn., attended the bride's book.
The couple honeymooned in the Bahamas. They will reside in the Chattanooga area of Tennessee.
A rehearsal party, hosted by the groom's family, was held at DoubleHead Resort.

Dawson, Spencer exchange vows
Amber Gail Dawson of Iuka, Miss., and Jason Glen Spencer of Hartselle were married June 12, 2004 at Reid Chapel at Samford University in Birmingham with Phil Dawson officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Phil and Rhonda Dawson of Iuka, Miss. The groom is the son of Glen and Brenda Spencer of Hartselle.
The chapel was decorated with ferns and bouquets of white roses, hydrangeas and mixed lilac flowers.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white organza sheath with a trumpet skirt trimmed with beaded lace accents.
Her veil was scalloped edged to coordinate with her beaded tiara.
Her bouquet featured white roses and lilac flowers.
Leah Dawson of Iuka, Miss., sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a lilac, tea length strapless dress with a jeweled belt around the waist, and carried a nosegay of mixed lilac flowers.
Glen Spencer, father of the groom, was best man.
Ushers were Nick Dawson and Jamie Wilson, both of Iuka, Miss., Trai Meadows, Tyde Meadows and Tron Meadows, all of Hartselle.
Music was provided by organist Hunter Goff of Birmingham.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the McWhorter School of Pharmacy at Samford University.
The couple honeymooned in Jamaica. They will reside in Birmingham.
A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom's parents, was held June 11 at Kobi's Steakhouse.
Johnston, Meggs marry in Huntsville
Lori Michele Johnston of Huntsville and James Teddy Meggs of Tuscaloosa were married May 15, 2004 at the Huntsville Botanical Garden with Rev. Tom Laile officiating the 6 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Suzanne Johnston of Eva and the late David Johnston. She is the granddaughter of the late Bethel and Phyllis Kniphfer and the late Glenn and Reese Johnston.
Parents of the groom are Michael and Mary Ann Keene of Tuscaloosa. He is the grandson of Hugh Keene of Tuscaloosa and the late Myrtle Keene, and the late James and Ora Averette.
The bride wore a strapless gown of white luster satin embellished with crystal beading embroidery. The princess line bodice featured satin covered buttons and crystal beading along the semi-cathedral train. Coral, yellow, purple, red and peach tropical flowers from Hawaii adorned the Botanical Garden Arbor Courtyard. The bride carried a hand tied bouquet of the tropical flowers mixed with coral roses and white orchids.
The bride was attended by her aunt, Vicki Kniphfer, of Vinemont as maid of honor and Sheri Bechtel of Huntsville as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Karen Butler of Douglas, Ga., Tina Powell of Birmingham, Audrey Puente of New York, N.Y., Julie Smith of Monroe, La., and Kellye Thoeny of Nashville, Tenn., all friends of the bride. Flower girl was Hannah Kniphfer of Birmingham, cousin of the bride.
The groom was escorted by his daughters Lindsey and Lauren Meggs. Father of the groom served his son as best man. Groomsmen were James-Paul Dice of Huntsville, Alton English of Huntsville, Danny Hall of Tuscaloosa, Tony Meggs, brother of the groom of Tuscaloosa, Billy Schaffer of Birmingham, and Randy Tunnell of Tuscaloosa. Ushers were J. Babineaux of New Orleans, La., Chris Davis of Huntsville, Gary Harris of Tuscaloosa, Tim Meggs of Tuscaloosa, Thomas Keene of Panama City, Fla., Tom Perkins of Huntsville, Jabaree Prewitt of Montgomery, Ala., and Derek Valcourt of Baltimore, Md.
Ringbearer was Wesley Meggs, nephew of the groom. Page boy was Garrett Meggs, nephew of the groom. Along with a song from the bride to the groom, vocalists were Tina Powell and David Lamb of Birmingham. Noelle Tunnell of Tuscaloosa was the wedding director and Blanche Ridgeway, the bride's cousin of Cullman, attended the bride's book.
A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the couple, was held at Greenbrier Restaurant in Madison.
Following a trip to New York City, the couple now resides in Huntsville.

Welborn, Weatherby to wed July 30
Sandy and Judy Welborn of Falkville announce the engagement of their daughter, Julie Ruth Welborn, to Jonathan Wayne Weatherby, son of Waylon and Cindy Weatherby of Hartselle.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Danville High School. She is employed by Mutual Savings Life Insurance Company in Decatur. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Willis of Decatur, the late William C. Sandlin, Violene Keeling of Huntsville, and the late Willard Welborn.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Danville High School. He is employed by Worthington Steel Inc. in Decatur. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Dathern Smith of Hartselle and the late Jim Weatherby.
The wedding will be held July 30 at Burningtree Country Club.
