Weddings and engagements

Brown, Williams exchange vows
Ashley Suzanne Brown of Hartselle and Walker Andrews Williams of Clayton were married June 12, 2004 at 6 p.m. at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church with Dr. Randon H. Jackson officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Brown of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Pitt Williams of Clayton.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a formal gown of diamond white silk chiffon. The strapless gown was fashioned with a band of beaded embroidery at the empire waistline. The soft skirt of silk chiffon swept into a chapel length godet train. Her walking length veil of imported French tulle was edged with silver and delicately sprinkled with crystal beads. It was held by a matching bridal bandeau.
Allyson Rena Brown of Birmingham and Katherine Brown Braddock of Hanford, Calif., were the maids of honor.
Bridal attendants were Rene/ Marie Cancilla of Birmingham, Sarah Frances Martin of Opelika, Diana Williams McCraney of Louisville, Erika Brooke McPherson of Point Washington, Fla., Darby McPherson Stickler of Tallahassee, Fla., and Jennifer Adams Williams of Clayton.
The groom's father was the best man.
Groomsmen were John Scott Braddock of Hanford, Calif., Joshua David Brown of Auburn, Robert O'Neal Cox of Clayton, Shea Griffin Hartzog of Destin, Fla., Michael Brandon McCraney of Louisville, Mark Stephen Reiter of Fayetteville, Ark., and John Pitt Williams Jr. of Clayton.
Music was provided by Beth McBay Damron of Florence, Brian Todd of Birmingham and Kay Grubbs of Decatur.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Rhodes Ferry Park.
Jennelle Hembree was the wedding director.
Suzanne Hembree Mizell of Hartselle attended the bride's book.
The couple honeymooned in Nassau, Bahamas. They will reside in Andalusia.
A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom's parents, was held June 11 at Rhodes Ferry Park.
A bridal luncheon, hosted by Mary K. Braddock and Hilda Borie, was held June 11 at noon at the Decatur Country Club.

Holmes, Rowe to wed June 26
Mike and Cindy Baker of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Mandy Leigh Holmes, to Paul Albert Rowe IV, son of Paul and Frances Rowe III of Falkville. Holmes is also the daughter of the late Randy Holmes.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Falkville High School and Wallace State College. She is the granddaughter of Charles and Peggy Griffith of Hartselle, Mary Holmes of Falkville, Freddie and Sue Holmes of Houston, and James and Jean Baker of Tennessee.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Falkville High School and Wallace State College. He is the grandson of Paul Jr. and Frances Rowe of Falkville and the late Burl and Velma Vest.
The wedding will be held June 26 at Fairview Church of God.
Smith, Brewer to wed July 17
Stephen and Carla Smith of Decatur announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Lauren Smith, to Larry Dwight Brewer II, son of Larry and Judy Brewer of Hartselle.
The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of Decatur High School and attended Wesley College. She is employed by Madison Premiere Preschool. She is the granddaughter of Carl and Edna Sutton of Harvest, Virginia Smith of Decatur and George D. Smith of Athens.
The groom-elect is a 1997 graduate of Hartselle High School, attended Auburn University, and is a 2001 graduate of Virginia College. He is employed by Dynetics in Huntsville. He is the grandson of Martha Frances Seal of Falkville, the late Manson B. Seal, and Calvin and Louise Brewer of Hartselle.
The wedding will be held July 17 at 2 p.m. at First Independent Methodist Church in Decatur.
