Funeral for Joel Lemmond, 63, of Decatur was Tuesday, May 18, at 11 a.m. at Center Springs United Methodist Church with the Revs. Doug Moody and Buddy Barnett officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Lemmond died Sunday, May 16, 2004, at his residence. He was born Aug. 16, 1940, in Morgan County to Everette Cameron Lemmond and Katherine Louise Blankenship Lemmond.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Lorene Lemmond of Decatur; step son, Terry Calloway of Decatur; step daughter, Barbara Richards of Decatur; his mother, Katherine Louise Lemmond of Decatur; five brothers, Wendell Lemmond of North Dakota, Wayne Lemmond of Decatur, James Lemmond of Priceville, Carlton Lemmond of South Carolina and Marshall Lemmond of Florence; three sisters, Eloise Segroves of Huntsville, Jan Orme of Priceville and Carolyn Roberts of Somerville; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ruddy Gengeric, Mark Lucas, Jimmy Lemmond, Gary Harbison, Gavin Harbison, Trent Harbison, Roger Schooly and Allon Burgess.
