Vera O. Mitchell Dean Harwell

A graveside service for Vera O. Mitchell Dean Harwell, 81, of Decatur, was Wednesday, May 12, at 10 a.m. at Hartselle City Cemetery with the Rev. James Chitwood officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Harwell died Sunday, May 9, 2004, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born July 31, 1922, in Franklin County to Logan Mitchell and Melissa Mink Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jerry Dean and Bill Harwell.
She is survived by three daughters, Nancy Dean Colley of Austin, Tex., Elizabeth Glasgow of Decatur, and Judith Harwell Lowry of Raleigh, N.C.; three brothers, Travis Mitchell of Daphne, Morris Mitchell of Inverness, Fla. and Jimmy Mitchell of Snohomish, Wash; one sister, Billie Sue Anderson of Gainesville, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Kristopher Copeland, Kerry Copeland, William Glasgow Jr., Harold Cowley, Billy Anderson and Brad Gillentine.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
