Herbert L. Chunn Sr.

Funeral for Herbert L. Chunn, Sr., 77, was Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Clyde Ledlow and Chris Godbey officiating.
Burial was in Antioch Cemetery.
Mr. Chunn died Monday, April 12, 2004, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born April 2, 1927 in Jefferson County to John Chunn and Johnnie Jeanette Harwell Chunn. He was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Chunn was a veteran of World War II where he served in the United States Navy. He was retired from the US Postal service where he was a Letter Carrier. He also was a former employee of Morgan County District #4 Shop.
He is survived by two sons, Herbert L. Chunn II of Priceville and John D. Chunn and wife Rosena of Cotaco; four daughters, Charlotte Fells of Galveston, Tex., Libby Kimbrell, June Golden and Elisa Chunn, all of Somerville; 16 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jonathan Golden, Jody Golden, Jason Golden, Dunkin Bates, Nathan Kimbrell, Joshua Chunn and Glenn Sparkman.
