Motorcycle rally is new event

By Staff
Susan Hines, Chamber Chatter
The Chamber has planned a spring event for Hartselle to host "Wings of Thunder," a motorcycle rally and poker run, Saturday, April 24.
A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to Hartselle Youth Alive. The festivities will begin and end at the airport. There will be food, vendors, musical entertainment and a few surprises. This will be fun for all. The music starts at noon and everyone is encouraged to come out for the day. Call for more details or to register.
Music in the Park will begin its second season this May and will run through September. We are currently seeking musicians to perform on Thursday evenings. Musical styles range from bluegrass, jazz, big band, new age, country and rock n' roll to gospel and contemporary Christian.
These events serve many purposes, such as bringing people into Hartselle, providing sponsorship/advertising opportunities for Chamber members, and providing fun family activities for our community. These are the benefits received from the featured events!
But what is the difference in a feature and a benefit? A feature is the product, the item, or the event. The benefit is the "What's in it for me?"
Does the feature save me money and/or time? Does it add convenience, prestige, flexibility, security, peace of mind? Is it economical? If so, the feature is a true benefit!
Chamber membership offers many features that are beneficial. Over the next few weeks, I will list some of the features that can be beneficial to you as a member of the Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce. The first category is as follows:
