Lady Tigers' JV wins Huntsville tourney

The Hartselle Lady Tigers JV won the junior varsity division of the Huntsville High Invitational. Hartselle went 4-0 during the tourney whipping Huntsville 7-1 in the title game.
Hartselle 11,
Hoover 5
Breanna Segars improved her record to 3-0 with a complete game pitching performance in the tournament opener.
Catie Keel and Kayla Orr were both four-for-five at the plate while scoring twice. Amber Upton was two-for-four with a RBI and a run scored. Brittni Russell had two doubles in three at-bats and drove in two runs.
Hartselle 4,
Lawrence County 2
Amanda Drane improved to 2-1 on the mound as the Lady Tigers won to move into the semi-final round of play. Lauren Drake collected a triple and Jordan Peek was two-for-three at the plate for Hartselle.
Hartselle 8,
Austin 4
Mary Curtis improved to 2-0 this season with the win as the Lady Tigers whipped Austin to move to the championship game.
Ashley Womack had a single and a homer to drive in three runs while scoring twice.
Lauren Drake contributed a three-run homer for the Lady Tigers. Haley Miller went three-for-four and Anna Vaughn was two-for-two with a run scored and a RBI. Brittni Russell doubled and scored a run.

Huntsville 1
Amanda Drane picked up her second win of the tourney and improved her record to 3-1 as Hartselle captured the tourney title. The win ran the Lady Tigers record to 8-1 on the season.
Kayla Orr doubled twice and scored two runs while Anna Vaughn was three-for-three and scored once. Lauren Drake had two hits including a RBI double while Lindsay Robinson was three-for-four with a run and a RBI.
On Monday night, the junior varsity swept Pelham in a doubleheader.

Pelham 0
Breanna Segars improved to 4-0 on the mound as she threw a no-hitter.
Ashley Womack had a single, double and a triple while driving in three runs. Segars helped her own cause with two RBIs and a run scored.
Catie Keel and Lauren Drake added two RBIs and two runs scored a piece. Lindsay Robinson had two singles and a RBI.
Hartselle 12,
Pelham 4
Mary Curtis (3-0) pitched a complete game for the win as the Lady Tigers improved to 10-1 this season.
Amber Upton had three singles and scored twice while Jordan Peek had two singles and scored once. Curtis added a double and a single and scored three runs.
