Bulldogs, Lady Bulldogs split with St. Bernard

CULLMAN – The Priceville Lady Bulldogs picked up a win, while the boys team fell in games against Saint Bernard last Thursday.
Priceville 58, St. Bernard 49
Girls
Tiffany Smith scored 25 points, while Stephanie Hardiman scored 17 to lead Priceville past St. Bernard.
A 9-4 run midway through the second quarter put a little distance between the two teams. Smith and Hardiman led the charge, while Jessica Kennedy capped the rally with a pair of free throws.
Priceville led 30-25 at halftime and extended that lead to 45-32 in the third quarter on Smith's layup, as St. Bernard got no closer than five for the remainder of the contest.
Emily Jenkins scored seven and Kennedy added four.
Whitney Kelly led St. Bernard with 14 points.
St. Bernard 57, Priceville 41
The Bulldogs could not stop John Graveman, who scored 21 points for St. Bernard in the win.
Graveman only had eight points in the first half, but helped St. Bernard distance itself from Priceville throughout the second half.
Priceville trailed just 22-18 at halftime, but St. Bernard opened the second half with 7-0 run. St. Bernard opened a 35-27 lead by third quarter's end.
In the fourth quarter, Priceville trailed 43-36 and looked to be building a little momentum. However, a quick 7-0 run by St. Bernard put any hopes of a comeback away.
Dale Taylor scored 13 points for Priceville, while Josh Bedwell had nine.
Phillip Black and Hunter Teague both scored five points, and Alex Cannon scored four points.
