James A. 'Roso' Shaffer

Funeral for James A. "Roso" Shaffer, 56, of Decatur was Wednesday, Oct. 22, at 2 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Terry Nappier and Bill Simons officiating.
Burial was in Falkville City Cemetery.
Mr. Shaffer died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2003, at his residence. He was born April 14, 1947, in Morgan County to Welch and Bernice "Polly" Gillespie Shaffer. He was a 1966 graduate of Morgan County High School and attended Calhoun Community College. He previously worked for Cerro Wire and Jax Mold.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Garrett Shaffer of Decatur; his sister Charlotte and husband, Ricky McAbee of Hartselle; his brother, Mike and wife, Mary Shaffer of Cullman; three step children, Jason Brannon, Jan Brannon and Evan Humerick; his aunt, Edith Borden of Decatur; his nephews, Allen Vinson and Eric Shaffer; and a step granddaughter, Morgan Lancaster.
Pallbearers were Grady Duskin, Lewis Coots, John Young, Billy Aaron, Edwin Liverett and Ken Garrett.
The family requests memorials be made to Hospice of the Valley, P.O. Box 2745, Decatur, AL 35602.
