Anders, Lee wed Aug. 23
Laura Ellen Anders and William Bryan Lee were wed Aug. 23, 2003, at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Fairhope.
Dr. Robert Murphy and Dr. Laurey Murphy officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ferrell Summerford Anders of Fairhope and the granddaughter of Mrs. Judson J. Herring of Massey and Mrs. Richard Henry Arrington, Jr. of Montgomery.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Allen Sexton and Mr. and Mrs. Terry Wayne Lee of Ft. Deposit.
Jennifer Diane Berry of Atlanta was maid of honor and Elizabeth Bostick Leatherbury of Mobile was matron of honor.
Attendants were Margaret Ann Bingham of Boston, Mass., Elizabeth Kidd Hadden and Kathleen Anderson Motheral of Atlanta, Kristjen Brienne Lundberg of Washington, D.C., and Sarah Eleanor Zieman of Gulf Breeze, Fla.
Annie Yvette Yonge and Genna Rose Yonge of Fairhope were flower girls. Austin Reed Vickery of Fort Deposit was the ring bearer.
Reader was Jennifer Boyett of Fairhope.
Program attendants were Alexandra Grace Vickery of Fort Deposit, Alexander Amadeo Sunada, Wendy Yoshiko Sunada, and Kristina Amber Sunada of Vancouver, Wash.
The groom's father was best man.
Groomsmen were William Lyle Bell of Tuscaloosa, William Christopher Waller, Jr. of Birmingham, Walter Ward Hickman of Greenville, John Kevin Paulk of Fort Deposit, Michael Jason Greene of Auburn, and William Edward Anders, brother of the bride, of Fairhope.
Ushers were James Richard Bakken of Nashville, James Oliver Newton II of Birmingham and Seth Autrey Newton of Laramie, Wyo.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Fellers Cove. The couple honeymooned in Jamaica. They will reside in Huntsville.
Cartee, Haggermaker exchange vows
Heather Maria Cartee of Hartselle and Stanley Lee Haggermaker of Athens were wed June 28, 2003, at 2:30 p.m. at Cedar Creek Freewill Baptist Church.
The Rev. William L. McElroy officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Gary W. and Robbyn Cartee of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Billy L. and Shirley Haggermaker of Athens.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
The church and altar were decorated with silver bows adorning each pew, a three-tier candelabra and candle trees, lighted ficus trees, and arrangements of ferns, calla lilies, white lilies, carnations and purple roses.
The bride wore a diamond white satin and silk English net gown with a scooped neckline and spaghetti straps that fell from princess lines into a soft A-line skirt, which was embroidered with platinum and hand beaded, and fell into a chapel length train. Her headpiece featured silk illusion with rhinestones held by a rhinestone tiara. Her bouquet was a mixture of white lilies, purple calla lilies, purple roses and baby's breath.
Erica N. Cartee of Hartselle, sister of the bride, was maid of honor.
Attendants were Daiquiri Hyde of Powder Springs, Ga., Amy Houston of Newell, Regina Brown of Hartselle and Virginia Dempsey of Athens.
Attendants wore periwinkle blue floor length dresses with spaghetti straps and drape necklines. They each carried a white calla lily.
Brittany Bledsoe of Hartselle was flower girl. Dennis Haggermaker of Athens, son of the groom, was ring bearer.
Matt Dempsey of Athens was best man.
Cody Haggermaker of Athens, son of the groom, was a groomsman.
Bill L. Cartee of Decatur, uncle of the bride, was an usher.
Music was provided by American Party Pros of Huntsville.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the fellowship hall.
The bride's table featured a three-tier cake, made by Linda Cunningham, iced in white satin and topped with purple roses and petals, a bride and groom ice sculpture, mints, cheese and crackers. Catering was provided by Becky Carter.
The groom's table featured a Bear Bryant hat cake atop a chocolate sheet cake, carved fruit swans and a bride and groom fountain.
Patsy Long was wedding director. Rosa Lee Legg, Roxanne Haggermaker and Katrina Curtis assisted with the reception.
Alexis Simmons of Newell attended the bride's book.
Alisha Towe of Athens attended the wedding favors.
The couple honeymooned in Tunica, Miss. They will reside in Athens.
