There are so many good things happening in Hartselle these days and so many reasons to remain positive. Hartselle is experiencing growth, expansion and renovation which draws visitors, newcomers and new businesses to our area.
As you read in last week's paper, Hartselle's business community is changing to better serve you. Whether these changes come in the way of updating current facilities, expansion of existing business facilities, new buildings, or starting a new business, our merchants are doing their best to better serve you, the customer.
Whether people are drawn to Hartselle for the downtown antique district, to shop for clothes and automotive needs, buy groceries and furniture, eat at one of our restaurants, visit a local industry or save a little on their taxes, people are coming to Hartselle.
Did you know that executives, sports scouts and shoppers alike fly into the Hartselle Airport to spend time here working and shopping, and that bus loads of people come to shop and learn about Hartselle's history?
Where do these visitors stay when they come?
At this time, Hartselle has two locations to accommodate visitors and by this time next year there will be three choices.
The Express Inn, owned and operated by Mukesh and Jaya Patel, is located at 1601 Highway 31. The inn was opened in 1995 and offers its guests 33 rooms. The inn is near completion of an extensive renovation project. The interiors of all guest rooms have been replaced or updated with new carpet being laid following completion of the exterior renovation.
Renovation on the new exterior is almost complete and the inn is looking great.
The Oden House Bed &Breakfast, owned and operated by Ray and Ann Hill, is located at 201 Main Street. This historic home has three guest rooms, each with its own distinct personality. While staying here you have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious gourmet candlelight breakfast before departing to shop in the Hartselle area. The bed and breakfast also offers a wonderful setting for a young lady's Victorian Tea Party.
Ground has just been broken for a new 43 room Country Hearth Inn, located just off of the I-65 / Hwy 36 intersection on the new access road. The Country Hearth Inn is due to be completed by Jan. 1, 2004.
