Floyd T. Borden

Funeral for Floyd Thomas Borden, 86, of Decatur was Saturday at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Bennett and the Rev. Donald Dugger officiating.
Burial was in Free Holiness Cemetery in Valhermoso Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Borden died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2003, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born Jan. 17, 1917, in Lawrence County to William Daniel Borden and Arrie Pillow Borden. He was a member of Hills Chapel Church of God. He was preceded in death by his wife, Allie Bell Borden.
He is survived by five sons, Thomas Borden of Falkville, Jackie Borden of Elkmont, Roger Borden of Tennessee, and Donald Borden and Stanley Borden, both of Decatur; five daughters, Carolyn Cottingham of Decatur; Mary Miller of Athens, Clara Lang of Madison, Brenda James of Falkville and Deborah James of Hillsboro; two brothers, Thurston J. Borden and Roy E. Borden, both of Decatur; two sisters, Lois Brown of Athens and Addie Marie Bevins of Barton; 29 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons.
