Local students earn scholarships
Two local students were recently awarded scholarships from Wolverine Tube. The company awards a number of scholarships each year to students of employees. Scholarships recipients have demonstrated excellence in scholarship, extracurricular activities and community service.
Jenna Marie Lindsey, daughter of Mark and Rita Lindsey of Danville, received a Wolverine Scholarship. A graduate of Danville High School, she was involved with Beta, Deca, Spanish and Drama Clubs and received awards in history, math and basketball. She plans to attend Wallace State Community College, pursuing a degree in medical or business fields.
Jacob Craft also received a scholarship. He is the son of Billy and Leigh Anne Craft of Hartselle and attended Hartselle High School. He participated in band, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Scholar's Bowl, Spanish and Physics Club. He will be attending the University of Alabama at Birmingham on an academic scholarship and plans to major in biomedical engineering.
